More than 150 local farmers and members of the agricultural community joined Rabobank in Launceston to celebrate the specialist agribusiness bank’s 30th anniversary in Tasmania.

Guests at the celebration dinner, held at Josef Chromy Winery on September 24, heard from RaboResearch Australia & New Zealand general manager Stefan Vogel, who launched a report on Tasmania’s agricultural sector (summary available on the Tas Country website).

Also joining in the celebrations were Rabobank Australia chairman James Fazzino, director Christine Feldmanis, group executive Country Banking Australia Marcel van Doremaele and state manager Victoria and Tasmania Sally Bull.

The evening included a panel discussion between Mr Fazzino, Ms Feldmanis, Mr van Doremaele and Mr Vogel, facilitated by Rabobank area manager for Tasmania Stuart Whatling.

The agricultural banking specialist – part of the global cooperative Rabobank and one of Australia’s leading agricultural lenders – has been supporting the financial needs of farmers and agribusiness operators in Tasmania, since opening the doors of its first branch in the state, in Launceston in 1995.
