They the regulators are currently issuing permits for new deer farms to become established in non deer range - (this is an absolute fact)
The lack of deer management has created the overpopulation of deer - how in the hell can you manage deer numbers with the license conditions they have provided the hunters for over 40 years.
Sadly the hunters will be pushed aside with statements they cannot control the deer numbers, I bet in 2026 the hunters will still have to buy a deer license and provide the regulators with the number of deer taken - we as generational deer hunters will certainly watch with interest what our invertebrate government will come up with - just look at the Spirits, the wharf, the stadium and our overall debt.
The best Tasmania has to offer is certainly behind us.
