Peppermint Hill Landfill Site closed after break-in

The Peppermint Hill Landfill Site at New Norfolk was forced to close early this morning after a break-in.

The site has been closed due to the theft of critical operational equipment, which must be replaced before reopening.

It's expected that the landfill site will be back online and open for business again tomorrow. Fortunately the break-in only affected online payments and associated vandalism needed to be assessed and cleaned up. A police report is also being prepared.
