Tasmanian Country has long served the island’s farming and agricultural community as Tasmania’s only truly statewide paper.


Delivered every Friday to regional readers in the island’s rural heartland, as well as its remotest reaches, from King Island’s dairy farmers in the windswept Bass Strait, to Southport’s fisheries in the deep south of the Huon Valley.

100 per cent locally owned, Tasmanian Country is Tasmania's only truly statewide newspaper, delivered direct to the mail boxes of 13,000 farmers statewide. It is especially popular across the state’s northern rural belt, with over 62 percent of readership reaching Tasmania’s primary dairy, beef, lamb and wool producing regions, and is also continuing to grow among the state’s emerging viticulture, ecotourism and fruit-growing sectors in the state’s southeast.
