Hellfire Distillery opens cellar door
Hellfire Bluff Distillery has opened a cellar door 10 years after beginning operations.
The Boomer Bay-based distillery produces gin, vodka, rum and other liqueurs.
Destination Southern Tasmania CEO Alex Heroys said the opening was a landmark occasion.
“The opening of a new cellar door in the Tasman region is a welcome addition to southern Tasmania’s tourism offering,” Mr Heroys said.
“Investment in quality regional experiences is critical to driving dispersal, increasing length of stay, and generating stronger visitor yield across the broader economy.
“It also helps build the profile of the Tasman as a destination in its own right, supporting local jobs, local producers, and the continued growth of the region’s visitor economy.”
Hellfire Bluff Distillery Manager Ruby Daly said it was an exciting new chapter, showcasing expanded production capabilities, a state-of-the-art facility, and an immersive visitor experience.
“Reaching ten years is an incredible achievement for our team, and opening our new distillery on the same occasion makes it even more meaningful,” Ms Daly said.
“We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what lies ahead.”
Ms Daly said the opening was a proud moment.
“It gives people the opportunity to experience Hellfire Bluff where it’s made, hear the story firsthand, and connect with the landscape and family behind the brand.
“The journey has been many years in the making, from establishing the product through to growing the brand and now creating a destination people can visit and enjoy. It’s been a gradual evolution built around family, patience, and a genuine love of the region.
“Our vision is to continue building Hellfire Bluff as a premium Tasmanian distillery experience that remains authentic, family-run and strongly connected to place.
“We want visitors to feel welcomed, slow down, and leave with a real sense of Tasmania and our story.”
The owners also grow potatoes at Daly Farm on the same property.
