Breeding data vital at Tolivar
TOLIVAR Angus is proud to present its largest and most exciting offering to date at this year’s Tasmanian Angus Spring Bull Sale, featuring 31 quality Angus bulls - comprising 16 rising 18-month-old bulls and, for the first time, 15 yearling bulls.
Genomics and performance data are fundamental to our breeding program, removing much of the guesswork from sire selection and improving the accuracy of breeding decisions for economically important traits such as fertility, longevity and structural soundness.
Every animal in the Tolivar Angus herd is genomically tested, Parent Verified and performance recorded, giving buyers complete confidence in the pedigree, identity and genetic integrity of every bull we offer.
Parent verification independently confirms the recorded sire and dam of each animal, ensuring the genetics behind every purchase are fully authenticated.
This year’s expanded draft reflects the planned growth of our breeding program and the success of our embryo transfer (ET) program, with 83% of the offering the result of ET or AI matings.
Supported by proven maternal cow families, the draft provides commercial and seedstock producers with access to industry-leading Angus genetics across both age groups.
Tolivar Angus continues to invest in elite genetics to remain at the forefront of modern Angus breeding.
This draft represents some of the industry’s most respected sire lines.
Leading the yearling bulls are sons of Tasmania’s record-breaking $275,000 Cluden Newry Uppercut, combining exceptional eye appeal with expressive muscle pattern. Also represented are progeny by Ezar Step Up, renowned for premium carcass quality and structural soundness, alongside sons of Alpine 38 Special, recognised for structural correctness and calving ease, and Kenny Rogers, noted for outstanding feed efficiency and elite carcass merit.
The continued acceptance of Tolivar genetics was highlighted at the 2026 Tasmanian Angus Autumn Bull Sale, where Tolivar Vision V5 sold as the top-priced bull for $19,000 to South Australian seedstock operation Granite Ridge Angus Stud.
This Spring Sale includes two full brothers to Vision V5, selling as Lot 32 and Lot 34, among the 18-month-old bulls.
Whether your objective is increased growth, improved carcass quality, enhanced marbling or stronger maternal performance, this year’s draft offers proven genetics backed by accurate data and generations of disciplined selection.
Every sale bull has completed a BULLCHECK breeding soundness examination, is Pestivirus tested free, vaccinated, Genomically assessed, Parent Verified and Performance Recorded.
Prospective buyers are welcome to inspect the sale bulls and the wider Tolivar Angus herd prior to sale day.
