Sorell couple wins close to $1 million after taking out Tattslotto prize

A Sorell couple has become more than $919,000 richer after winning Tattslotto.

But the pair originally thought they had only won $919 after initially checking their ticket after the division one draw on Saturday.

The couple bought the winning ticket at Sorell Lotto Hub.

The winning husband said he had butterflies in his stomach after learning of his $919,794.14 prize.

 “I’m shaking like a bloody leaf.”

The wife said that when the email came through, she was confused that there wasn’t a $10 prize on it.

 “It said to check the ticket, so I did.

 “At first, I saw it and thought, ‘Oh, we’ve won $919!’.

“Then I thought, ‘Oh my god! It’s not! It’s not!’

 “My husband said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’.

“And I said, ‘You’ve just won the Lotto!’.

The couple said the prize of almost $1 million was life-changing for them.

“We’re going to buy a house! We’ll go house hunting,” the husband said.

“But first, I’ll probably have a nanny nap today.

“I can’t stop shaking.”
