Bridgewater boat ramp and New Norfolk jetty open for use

The new Bridgewater boat ramp and jetty, along with the recently added pontoon at Millbrook Rise boat ramp at New Norfolk, are now both open.

The new facilities at Nielsen Esplanade replace the previous ramp and jetty that was closed in 2022 ahead of construction on the new Bridgewater Bridge, which was completed and opened to traffic earlier this year.

Other features at the site include parking and a turning bay for trailers.

During the upcoming demolition of the old Bridgewater bridge, boat users are asked to avoid travelling upstream through the demolition zone for safety reasons.

Meanwhile, the new pontoon at Millbrook Rise, New Norfolk, replaces the old wooden structure on the left-hand side of the ramp.
