Di Falco says he won't support Libs unless they reverse greyhounds ban

Newly elected Shooters, Farmers and Fishers (SFF) member Carlo Di Falco says he won't support Jeremy Rockliff's Liberal Government unless it reverses the announced greyhound racing ban.
"The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party Tasmania stands firmly and unapologetically against the Tasmanian Liberals' proposed ban of greyhound racing in this state", Mr Di Falco said.
"The greyhound racing industry is a proud and vital part of rural and regional Tasmania. It's woven into our communities, our economy, and our way of life.
"This is our line in the sand. SFF will not support the Premier in forming government unless he announces a full reversal of this decision. No ifs, not buts."
Mr Di Falco's statement comes following the announcement on Sunday by Premier Jeremy Rockliff that his government will phase-out greyhound racing by 2029, consistent with the expiry of the current funding deed.
“I know there are many participants in the industry who care deeply for their animals who will be extremely disappointed by this policy decision, but the reality is the greyhound industry is at the crossroads, is in decline and it is increasingly clear it does not align with community expectations", Mr Rockliff said.
