Plenty to celebrate for Derwent Valley cider brewers
Adam and Grace D'Arcy, the owners of Plenty Cider in the Derwent Valley, are celebrating after their locally made Apple and Blueberry Cider took home a gold medal at the recent 2025 Australian Cider Awards.
The annual Australian Cider Awards are the largest cider competition in Australia and feature 31 categories.
Plenty Ciders' apple and blueberry cider was named best in class in the Cider or Perry with Fruit category.
They were also awarded the Gold trophy for Best Specialty Cider or Perry.
Adam D'Arcy, originally from South Australia, opened Plenty Cider with his wife, Grace, back in 2021.
Adam fine-tuned his talent with Winemaking Tasmania and another cider brewery, Willie Smiths at Grove, which also had winning ciders at the recent awards.
Plenty Cider is located at 41 Salmon Ponds Road and is open from 11am and 4pm each weekend.
