FarmX will deliver ideas, insight, and collaboration – with snacks.

Agriculture is in a period of significant change, driven by pressures including government policy, regulation, shifting community perceptions, and global disruptions such as tariff wars and supply chain instability.

From the national stage to the local theatre of state politics, uncertainty and political instability compound the challenge.

Increasingly, decisions at all levels are shaped less by fact and more by emotion or philosophy, which is evident in policies such as the federal government’s approach to taxing superannuation and unrealised capital gains.

In this environment, it is critical to bring farmers together.

That’s why we created FarmX, a conference delivering nationally recognised speak ers on economics, technology, innovative farm practices, and rural advocacy in Australia.

But the real power lies in the interactions sparked between participants, bringing serious intellectual grunt to the problems and opportunities we face.

Our goal is for farmers to leave with a better understanding of the current industry state of play and fresh ideas to inform business decisions.

FarmX is ready to go.

Tickets have been selling fast, with more than 200 attendees expected.

This is a humbling and strong response, with the farming community paying their way and showing support with their feet, which just reinforces the need for this type of conference.

FarmX is a key part of Tas Famers’ strategic plan, sitting squarely under our pillars of engaging members, facilitat ing industry development, and encouraging the sharing of ideas.

Once the dust settles, we will review the event by looking at outcomes, ticket sales, and other feedback to determine how FarmX could further help grow our industry into the future.

We can say that support from the sector has been exceptional.

From sponsors and exhibitors, such as the Tas Farm Innovation Hub, Telstra and the National Farmers Federation, they have shown their confidence in Tasmanian farmers and the value of this gathering.

This event embodies our mantra for the producers to be seen, heard, and acted upon, whether for members or the wider agricultural community.

We are committed to collaboration, building capacity, and creating educational opportunities for the future.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to purchase your ticket today. For attendees, expect a clear-eyed view of the present and a glimpse into the future.

You will walk away with practical insights to take back to your farm or role in the sector, and with new opportunities to network, share, and collaborate.
