Wynyard Tulip Festival returns as fields at Table Cape Tulip Farm bloom
After a slow start to the 2026 season the fields are beginning to burst into colour at Table Cape Tulip Farm.
Weather conditions have delayed the tulips this year, with flowering occurring later than visitors have come to expect, according to farm manager Dave Roberts-Thomson.
“Our tulips have certainly kept us waiting this year,” Mr Roberts-Thomson said.
“But they are now coming on beautifully, and we are excited to see visitors enjoying the fields - the cooler weather will, however, help extend the flowering period.”
The tulips are now expected to be blooming throughout the month of October, and the farm will close its gate at the month’s end.
“We know many people have been waiting patiently for the flowers to arrive, and we are delighted to say that they are finally ready,” Mr Roberts-Thomson said.
“We encourage visitors to come and enjoy the colour while the tulips are in bloom.”
The annual tulip display is one of Tasmania’s most colourful spring attractions, with rows of tulips creating a spectacular patchwork of colour against the backdrop of Table Cape and the Bass Strait coastline.
Table Cape Tulip Farm is open daily during the tulip season.
The Wynyard Tulip Festival takes place this Saturday, October 10, 11am-9pm.
