I understand the need to reduce wild Rabbits. However the using of poison isn't the right way. I believe the money government uses for the making and distribution of the poison would better everyone if we could go back to the older ways. Pay the farmers, and rabbit catcher for every rabbit they catch and kill. Using a more humane way off culling. I personally would eat wild Rabbits if they showed signs of being healthy and not poisoned, also business that makes dog food could benifit for the cheaper meat. I have 5 acres in Heybridge and boths sides of my block are lawns no animals and I've only ever seen 1 rabbit and that was over 2 years ago. The rabbits on Burnie Bunny island near McDonald's. I used to see several large bunnies. Now I'm lucky to see 1 and they are not big at all. Also where I would count dozens sometimes 500 metres passed stowport turnoff heading east. You have definitely reduced rabbits from where I would normally had seen them 3+ years ago. Cull the rabbits in the places they need culling.
