Long list of show wins for North Eastern Shorthorns
NORTH Eastern Shorthorns continues the tradition of breeding sound, fertile, highly maternal females, with offspring with exceptional temperaments, great marbling and growth attributes for which the shorthorn breed is renown
We have a very hard-working team at North Eastern.
Thanks to Molly Fletcher, Caitlyn Burns and the rest of the family we were able to exhibit at the following shows in the past 12 months: Hobart, Brighton, Scottsdale, Deloraine and the recent Chudleigh Show.
The team’s effort was rewarded with Supreme Male with North Eastern Brady V52 at Chudleigh Show in February.
The team has started work on the 2026 show team and we look forward to demonstrating a sample of our stock around the state. At North EasternShorthorns we eagerly await the 2026 calving season with a third drop of Warraberry Specialist and North Eastern Ziggy Calves.
We have some exciting old genetics in our AI run Calves will arrive by Annaly Leo a bull from Ireland a bull from the late 1980s. We will also see our first drop of Polldale Useable from our heifers. In June 2025 we made the long trek north and exhibited at the Dubbo National Show and Sale for the second time and offered some outcross genetics which we believed had the capacity and capability to improve any herd. North Eastern Abel was snapped up and has gone to a large commercial operation at Condobolin. The infusion of new genetics has increased our polled percentage in the herd. We have our first homozygous polled bull calves this year. Please feel free to come have a look at what we believe are some of best females and males North Eastern has produced. At North Eastern Shorthorns, we are always happy to welcome visitors to our stud.
