Northern Adult Riding Club Navigation Ride results

A big day of riding through beautiful bushland, a giant raffle and the usual fun and challenge of solving a horseback quiz were highlights for the 117 riders who tackled the 29th annual Northern Adult Riding Club Navigation Ride.

Held at Harveydale, Westbury, in perfect conditions, Carol Morley on a standardbred was the senior individual winner, riding close to the “optimum time” of two hours, 30 minutes set by organisers as well as excelling on the horseback tasks.

Club secretary Norma Cormican said that the work of dedicated volunteers and loyal sponsors continues to make it the biggest day of the year for the Club with prizes awarded to fourth place in each category and a raffle featuring $1600 worth or prizes won by Gayleen Bassett.

“Next year is the 30th running of the event so we are hoping to make it bigger and better than ever with something special being planned for participants,” she said.
