The fact that recreational hunters support the take of more deer in this plan is understandable but properties can take as many deer as required under permit now and without hunters being granted access to properties deer numbers will not change , there is no limit to the taking of Does now and if the take on stags is increased it will further reduce the unbalanced ratio of males to females and not have any effect on reducing overall deer numbers . Hunters are controlling all browsing animals on many properties at their own time and considerable expense and many farmers charge a property fee as well but this is never mentioned seems the recreational hunter is getting the blame for a so called and unfounded explosion of deer numbers in the state
