Carlo, Lindsay, Chris and all other farm minded Tasmanians, What the hell has happened to enable so much of our Rural type zoned land to be rezoned to Landscape/ Conservation Zone (LCZ) by the State Planning Commission under the folly of a single planning scheme for Tasmania- the Tasmanian Planning Sceme (TFS). Who started off this destructive move? What is the political strategy (backroom deals) behind this ? Putting in appeals and representations against the rezoning ,even when you use a planner to represent you, is basically a waste of money and a cause of frustration and stress. Poor councils then having to dance to the music of the SPC complying with and creating new Local Provisions Schedule and be the meat in the sandwich with upset ratepayers. Tasmania has a heritage of Small Holdings and this needs to continue.There is no better way to raise realistic future Tasmanians than have them grow up close to the land , nature and reality. The single planning scheme needs to be thrown out. It is basically designed to help people with money make more money. Our Tasmanian lifestyle which a lot of blowins come to "enjoy" then capitalise on (cashing! -subdivide subdivide subdivide until it is like where they came from) is fast going down the gurgler. Find some guts , stand up and push back. My bushy wife tells everybody "Don't get him started !"
