FarmX 2026 attendance almost doubles from last year

Numbers nearly doubled at this year’s FarmX, the second farmer-led conference held last Thursday at the Deloraine Showgrounds.

Around 400 people enjoyed more than 37 exhibitors and a full program of speakers, workshops and live demonstrations, along with an opportunity to network and catch up with fellow farmers.

Some people tried out the TasTafe virtual welding and had a taste of opportunities to upskill.

A large crowd gathered to watch a drone demonstration using all the accessories for transporting and loading fertiliser and showing how it performs.

Fascinating presentations from Private Forests Tasmania, an AUSVEG panel, ag influencer Kaitie Nash and many more were well attended, culminating in an entertaining and predictably irreverent address by the Lambassador himself, Sam Kekovich.

TasFarmers president Nathan Cox said the growth of FarmX in its second year had been remarkable.

“The growth in ticket sales, exhibitors and industry interest proves the FarmX formula is a winner,” Mr Cox said.

“Farmers are looking for practical ideas, new technology and knowledge they can take back to their businesses.

“Every farmer came with different expectations. Some for the speakers and demonstrations, while others for the conversations, connections and exchange of ideas.”

“If FarmX has sparked one new idea, one new collaboration or one change that makes a farming business stronger, it has done its job."
