One-pass pipe layer a ripper

Delmade’s Ripper Pipe Layer combination unit takes care of the process from ripping, to unrolling, to laying, meaning no manual labour for you.

Developed over 16 years ago and now a recognised best seller, the Delmade Ripper Pipe Layer takes care of the hard work involved in laying pipe. It reduces labour and machinery hours, lowers the WH&S risk of injury and strain, and makes a tough job far less tedious.

Purpose designed and built for Australian conditions, the Delmade Ripper is engineered for strength, durability and long service life. Its heavy dutyconstruction stands up to tough ground conditions, while the reversible ripper point helps maximise wear life and reduce ongoing maintenance.

The Delmade Pipe Layer Box has a removable faceplate for easy pipe access, this means you can actually access the pipe below ground level as it is being laid. Its large obstruction free chamber ensures the pipe feeds smoothly through the layer which is critical to prevent kinking and damage to the pipe. The chamber is also completely smooth and there are no rollers,  which can cause pressure points as the pipe goes through.

With a 200m roll of 2-inch pipe weighing over 100kg, the Delmade Ripper Pipe Layer Reel takes the back breaking work out of unrolling pipe. Simply lower the reel, remove the side, and slide your roll on. From there, the hydraulic ram lifts the roll ready for laying, feeding the pipe directly into the layer unit. There is no need to manoeuvre the roll halfway across a paddock, lift it on and off the ute, or dig back to join pipes when one roll runs out. Simply join the two rolls and allow the unit to continue feeding the pipe through.

With a working depth of up to 700mm, you can get the pipe down to optimal laying depth. This ensures there is no damage to the pipe during cultivation.

These units are 100 per cent Australian manufactured, in Westbury. The build process is handled in-house, from fabrication to powder coating and assembly.

There are models available for every situation, from the 105mm layer unit for pipe up to 50mm with fittings, through to the 150mm layer unit, which can lay up to 125mm pipe.

A range of reel sizes are also available, allowing pipe up to one tonne in weight or 1km in length to be laid.

For contractors, or properties with a lot of poly to lay, Delmade also manufactures the Hydraulic Deep Digger, which can lay pipe up to 1000mm below the surface using hydraulic depth adjustment.

The Delmade Ripper Pipe Layer is up to five times faster than manual unrolling, with one Victorian operator reporting speeds of 200m in just six minutes.
