Arrest made following berry farm burglary
A Moltema man has been charged following a recent burglary at a berry farm at Exton, near Deloraine.
Police were called after offenders reportedly entered the business sometime between Friday, August 28 and Monday, August 31, damaging locks, cutting fences and stealing equipment including a defibrillator.
The owners of Tasmanian Berries, who filmed those involved on CCTV, said that several neighbours had also spotted the same offenders and their vehicle on their properties.
Investigators have since recovered some of the stolen property.
A 27-year-old man was this morning arrested and has been charged with burglary, stealing and driving offences.
He will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on November 11.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
